Established in 1968

Founders were Phil and Tony Toone, Two brothers from Tyldesley. Phil was the body repairer whilst Tony the Mechanic. After a few short term placements and a year or so mobile work they eventually settled for the next 18 years in Coal Pit Lane, Hindley Green, where they built up a substantial reputation within the local community.

Expanded in 1986

In 1986 the company took upon an opportunity to move into larger premises on Platt Fold Street, Leigh.From there the business grew and despite some hard economic times the company continued to build their reputation within the local community of Leigh and its surrounding areas.

2004
2004
Relocated in 2004

In 2004 the company was on the move again due to the premises being demolished for development. This last move took us from Platt Fold Street to High Street just a few hundred metres away. P and T Motors have now continued the good work of the early years and developed a strong holding within the local community and local businesses, providing a full range of mechanical, diagnostic, electrical and MOT work.
